Learning Management System
What is the LMS?
The FREE online Learning Management System (LMS), is delivered with the Classroom License of the software. It is a powerful tool that enables teachers to manage students’ access to the interactive activities in the software - and to store and monitor progress.
How does it work?
Using a web browser the teacher can create an account for each student (giving them each a unique login). Through the LMS the teacher is then able to direct students' access to the content of the software, as well as monitor whole class and individual progress. Scores can be collected both when the students are using the program in the classroom AND when they log-in from home.
FOR CD ROM USERS: An internet connection is required to connect the software to the LMS.
What exactly is the teacher able to control?
Teachers can allocate specific activities for a student (or a particular group of students) to do. They can also ensure that a minimum score is achieved in an activity before students can move on to another.
How do you monitor students’ progress?
It is possible to see how much of an activity or unit a student has completed (in % form), as well as their score. Teachers can also monitor the overall progress of the class.
How do you purchase an additional licence?
When a Classroom Licence is first activated, the school/teacher creates an account on the LMS, then allocate licenses to a class (or classes) – this is called an ‘Educator Account’. If the school then wishes to purchases additional licences, these can be linked to and managed with the existing ‘Educator account’.
